Custom Portrait commissions
Commissioning, made clear.
Simply choose your preferred portrait style, upload your reference photo, and complete your order online. We’ll review your submission and contact you if we need any additional details before we begin.
Clear, high-resolution photos with good lighting produce the best results. We recommend photos where faces are clearly visible and not obstructed by filters, sunglasses, or heavy shadows. You can provide separate photos.
Yes. We can combine separate reference photos into a single composition when suitable. This is a popular option for family portraits, memorial pieces, and gifts.
Yes. We do not provide sketches or drafts. Some artwork like digital illustrations allow for minor revisions such as facial features, colours, or small details. Larger composition changes may incur an additional fee.
Production time varies by artwork type, but most commissions are completed within 1–2 weeks before shipping.
Absolutely. Pets are among our most popular portrait requests and can be included alongside people or as standalone portraits.
Yes. As long as key details remain visible, we can often restore or recreate portraits using older photographs.
Definitely. Many of our portraits are commissioned for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings, retirements, and memorial keepsakes.
Yes. You can personalise your artwork with names, dates, meaningful quotes, locations, or other special details, depending on the portrait style you’ve chosen.

Live Art Experiences
Live painting, on the day.
Coverage depends on the duration, number of artists, and portrait style. As a guide, one artist can typically take around 5 mins per guest portrait drawing. We’ll recommend the ideal setup based on your guest count.
Most guest portraits take approximately 5-8 minutes per person, depending on the selected style.
Guest participation naturally varies throughout an event. If demand exceeds onsite capacity, we offer post-event fulfilment so additional guests can still receive their portraits after the event.
We typically require one table, two chairs, and access to a nearby power point if required. If you book our 2 or 3 artists package, we will required an additional table to ensure enough space.
No. Guests can either pose briefly with our artist or have their portrait drawn from a photo taken during the event, allowing them to continue enjoying the celebration.
Yes. We create bespoke templates featuring your names, wedding details, company branding, event logos, or custom illustrations to match your celebration.
Yes, subject to availability and local regulations. We’re available for destination weddings, overseas events, and international brand activations. Travel, accommodation, and any required permits or work authorisations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and quoted separately.
We provide live illustration for weddings, corporate events, brand activations, private celebrations, product launches, media events, and VIP experiences.
Our minimum booking duration applies to ensure we can provide the best guest experience. If you have a shorter event, feel free to reach out, we’ll be happy to discuss possible options depending on our availability.
Yes. A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due before 7 days before the event, as outlined in your quotation.
Guest participation can vary throughout the event. If demand exceeds the allocated coverage, we offer additional artist hours (subject to availability) or post-event portrait fulfilment so more guests can receive their keepsakes.
Absolutely. Every booking includes a bespoke portrait template that can feature your event branding, names, logo, date, colours, or a custom illustration to complement your celebration.
The physical portraits belong to your guests, while Bycraft retains the copyright to the artwork. We may photograph or film the artwork and setup for our portfolio and marketing unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Yes. We ship worldwide using tracked delivery services. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on your location.
Keep your artwork away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and moisture. Framed pieces should be displayed indoors to preserve their colours over time.
Often, yes. We've painted pets, homes, cars etc. We bring the same brushes to live events for weddings, parties, and brand activations. Tell us the idea and we'll say honestly whether we're the right hands for it.
If your order is damaged during transit, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and artwork. We’ll work with you to find the best solution.
Yes. We can ship directly to your recipient and can include a complimentary gift message upon request.
Selected products include gift-ready packaging. Additional gift wrapping options may also be available depending on the product.
Yes, where our schedule allows. If you need your artwork by a specific date, we offer a priority service for an additional fee. Please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm availability and advise on the applicable rush fee.
Yes. We offer selected custom sizes and framing options. Get in touch if you have specific requirements.
